Two Brothers charged in the fatal shooting of innocent bystander

Baltimore County police have arrested and charged two brothers in the shooting death of an innocent bystander last Thursday in Lansdowne.

According to officials, Deandre Buckson, 27, of the 3000 block of Bero Road, is charged with first-degree murder and Linwood Buckson, 28, of the 800 block of West Fairmount Avenue, was charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and more in connection with the death of 78-year-old Isabel Villalobos V De Vasquez.

Police said prior to the shooting, the brothers drove to Speedy Mart at 3815 Hollins Ferry Road next to the Lansdowne Shopping Center. While Deandre Buckson entered the Speedy Mart, Linwood Buckson stayed outside and met with another male subject for a drug transaction, officials said. During their encounter, Linwood produced a handgun and the two men struggled for the handgun, causing it to discharge, officials said.

Officials said the other male subject was able to take the gun from Linwood and fled past the SaveMart across the Lansdowne Shopping Center parking lot.

Deandre Buckson exited the Speedy Mart and retrieved another handgun from the vehicle, then ran past the Speedy Mart while firing shots toward the SaveMart, where De Vasquez was standing, officials said. She was struck in the upper body and killed as a result of Deandre Buckson firing the gun at the other fleeing male subject, officials said.

The brothers are currently held without bail, pending bail review hearings Monday.
