Baltimore homicide detectives are investigating after the body of a 28-year-old woman was found in a plastic container in the backyard of her home.

Officials said they were called around 4:30 p.m. Thursday to a home in the 1100 block of Gorsuch Avenue for a possible homicide investigation. The detectives received information that someone had been killed and that the deceased’s body was at that location.

Upon arrival, detectives were granted access to the home and performed a search, officials said. Police said they located a large plastic container in the rear yard of the home with human remains inside.

Mason Moldoven, 28, who lived at the location, was pronounced dead at the scene and her remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s office. Police said it appears the victim had been stabbed.

Homicide detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call detectives at (410)396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
